Dancing to a love song on her 'Birthday Eve' with her birthday
flowers in the foreground.

My Mom is an amazing person. She's a godly woman who loves the Lord, she loves to laugh, she's a great teacher (grin), and she is an amazing wife and mother. I love you, Mom!

P.S. Here is one of her favorite songs, by Sons of Korah. It's a musical rendition of Psalm 148.

Comfort in Trials

Psalm 119:50 (ESV)
This is my comfort in my affliction,
that your promise gives me life.

~ C. Thomas Fawcett ~
1918-2012
Dad with Mr. and Mrs. Fawcett
These are our precious friends, Tom & Euna Lee Fawcett. Mr. Fawcett was a WWII Navy veteran who passed away this morning in New Braunfels.   Mr. Fawcett was "famous" for fixing lawn mowers, building tables, cracking pecans, eating ice cream and singing lots of songs from the 1940's.

Mr. Fawcett always enjoyed telling "sea stories" and picking on the Army or Air Force with Dad (the Marine).  The two of them could go on for hours!  :)  He also enjoyed hearing about Dad's sermons. Almost daily I would read him the entry for the day from The American Patriot's Almanac. He was a patriot and daily wore the flag pin seen in the photo above.

Please pray that the God of all comfort would comfort the Fawcett and Spradling families during their time of grief.

Horses Galore... :)

Sophia rode Bugs...

Chrissy rode Moriah...

I rode Moriah a little bit, because my horse had a sore foot. (Chrissy had the camera here)

Rio decided a roll in the dirt would be nice. (Chrissy took this one too.)

Mom rode Poncho. She might look a little stern but that's because she is determined to have a great time!
